Saffron Records launched in September 2015 after completing the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Program. Set up as a Community Interest Company we run as a social enterprise. We offer an in-depth artists development program for emerging artists and run a music technology education program for 14 to 25 years old. We have a young team of Interns and Apprentices who we work with on a day to day training basis, giving them skills and knowledge to enter the industry. In return we have a wealth of people who have worked for Saffron in various capacities that invest their time, energy and contacts to support the growth of the company as they believe so strongly in the ethos of the company.

Saffron has had many success’ in the first two years including young apprentice’s winning national apprentice of the year, becoming Talent Development Partners with PRSF (Performance Right Society), attending Parliament to discuss gender equality in the music industry and working partnership with Red Bull on our music tech strand.  

We are at a really exciting and pivotal time for our young company and require the direction and guidance from an experienced Business Development Professional. To guide Saffron’s trading arm and develop the financial sustainability. We would like someone with the passion, belief and commitment to support a small but growing social enterprise.

Role requirements:

Support the Director to create and implement a 3 year financial strategy

Help Saffron to reach full potential by advising on business model and accounts

Assist Director to increase income and advise on annual targets for the company

Act as an ambassador for the company

Utilise your networks and contacts to support the fundraising and financial stability for Saffron

Input on training and development for Senior Management team


Quarterly board  meetings

6 hours coaching annually with Director

Attendance at important Saffron events
