Bathe in a rainbow, party in the future – In Other Words, we are stoked to be the music partner for the 2016 edition of Bristol Biennial’s Bearpit Banquet launch party on 2nd September.
Bristol Biennial is a festival led by artists, championing emerging talent, sparking international collaborations and presenting playful art for a changing city. Emerging in 2012, it brings art and the public closer in the places that we live, work and play whilst providing invaluable opportunities for aspiring artists and a testing ground for alternative and artist-led models of organisation.
Taking to Bristol’s infamous Bearpit streets on 2nd September for its Bearpit Banquet launch party, this year’s Bristol Biennial explores different perspectives. Through exhibitions, talks, events and satellite projects, such as present to future, the sensory to the stellar, human to non-human, it will travel and encounter unusual locations across the city from 2nd – 10th September. The festival will be presenting 13 new commissions by emerging artists from across the world and close to home.
With a beautiful combination of home-cooked food from around the world, live music from talented local performers and the launch of an international art festival, we are headlining the launch party with a showcase of local acts. Tune into the madness and join us in one of Bristol’s most contested public spaces for a night of celebration and dialogue.
