Saffron Sessions: China Bowls Performs Only Love

Saffron Records’ first signed artist, China Bowls, captures you in an aural trance with her latest Saffron Sessions of insightful lyrics, playful vocals, and satisfying funk. Only Love is performed in the lead up to the release of her upcoming EP Talk, which will be released later this summer.

Coming from a festival background with an infectious neo soul jazz vibe, experimental hip-hop influences and just a hint of gypsy swing, China Bowls has been playing across the country from Colston Hall to Glastonbury, Boomtown and Bestival. Only Love is performed in the lead up to the release of her upcoming EP Talk, which will be released later this summer.

Saffron Records are on a mission to change the way women are perceived in the music industry, one empowered young woman at a time. With Saffron Sessions we spotlight the incredibly rich talent coming from the Bristol scene.

Filmed by Puzzlebox Film’s Paul James, the performance consists of China Bowls as songwriter and vocalist on guitar, and her band: drummer Connor Spring, bassist Dan Plimmer (Cut Capers, Camo Clavè) and Hal Sutherland on keys.

Sound recorded by Ben Chilton and mixed by Joy Sernia.
