Why is it important to help others by mentoring them?

I believe that we all need a level of guidance and support in whatever we pursue.
The Music Industry is such a fast paced and highly competitive industry it can be quite overwhelming and difficult to figure out how to get a project off the ground initially so having someone experienced who you can turn to for support and advise is key.

Why is it important to support a female youth record label like Saffron?

I’ve had some great mentors throughout my journey but I have found that in a male dominated industry its often harder to find female mentors who you can relate to, I think its important for me to be able to give back and contribute toward filling that void whilst supporting to build a strong network of ambitious and talented female artists.

Who is your inspiration?

I’m inspired by so many Artists, Billie Holiday, Dianna Ross, Stevie Wonder, India Arie, Jill Scott, Immortal Technique, Claude Kelly, Dianne Warren, Sia (writers)…I could go on forever!

Who was your first album/single that you bought?
I’m pretty sure it was TLC “Crazy Sexy Cool”
